Dear theatre friends,
Sorry to alert you with few performances left, however you still have a chance to see these gems this month:
I was at “Polishing Shakespeare” by Brian Dykstra last night and I’ve been giddily enthusiastic since. It’s been extended at 59e59 until 24th, seats are few– so run. It’s one of the most literate, laugh outloud funny and timely plays I’ve seen in a long while.
Read this current review for another glowing opinion. The cast (Grant is played by Brian, himself) and direction by Margarett Perry are top-notch.
How could I have missed “Well, I’ll Let You Go”, a new play by Bubba Weiler with an ensemble cast, led by the always wonderful Quincy Tyler Bernstine and Michael Chernus (“Severance”)? Here’s a descriptive review of the somber piece, which may convince you to make the trip to Irondale Theatre in Brooklyn. I’ll be there! Only until the 29th.
More to come…
